A diagnosis of breast cancer can be one of the most difficult experiences facing you and your family, and we are dedicated to providing you and your loved ones with support, comfort, and hope, as well as the most advanced treatment options.
San Diego Surgical Specialists works with a team of dedicated healthcare specialists, including medical oncologists and radiation oncologists, to design a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan for each patient. Our surgeons are experts at breast surgery, and perform a wide variety of procedures, from breast conservation surgery, to total mastectomies, to breast reconstruction. A surgical consultation is one of the steps to devise a treatment plan that is right for you.
We refer all of our patients to the Breast Cancer Center at Sharp Memorial Outpatient Pavilion. A variety of resources are available through the Breast Cancer Center to make sure your treatment is as easy as possible. This includes:
- Personalized case management to provide guidance through each step of treatment.
- An oncology social worker to help with the emotional and social aspects of a breast cancer diagnosis.
- Therapeutic services such as nutritional counseling, art classes, and Healing Touch.
